You won’t see him at Labor Party fundraiser, or the Portsea Polo, but you will see him again in May when he returns from his travels, introducing live from the UK, the big fella himself… Mr Julian Toohey.
Nickname:  Jules, JT, Big Fella
DOB:  21.8.84
AWCC Debut:  1994/1995
Cricketing Highlight:  1’s flag. It will live with me forever.
Cricketing Lowlight:  As a struggling 1st year university student, I was fined $2 for every no ball I bowled in the 1’s. I racked up a pre-HECS debt of $1.4k which I am still paying off.
Favourite Cricket Trip:  Gold Coast. Placey and I can get our big rigs out on the beach together and feel at home.
Highest Score:  87
Best Bowling:  9/22 (and 3 helmets).
Most Annoying Teammate:  Former President Mike Fogarty. His slightly left of centre leanings were at odds with stance somewhere to the right of Genghis Khan.
Favourite Teammate:  Johnny Murph. I’d like to state for the record that have a girlfriend. I scoff at rumors that I am in fact Mrs Murphy.
Other Hobbies:  Travelling, writing, philosophising,
Favourite Song:  “I’m too sexy for a Shirt” – Right Said Fred.
Favourite piece of Clothing:  I am a big fan of the ‘Man Bag” whilst travelling. A stranger stopped me in Hyde Park last week and likened me to the bearded man with his satchel from The Hangover!
Not many people know this but:  The Herald Sun’s Andrew Bolt is ALWAYS right. How can you argue with a man who opens up a sentence with “The fact of the matter is…”
