A NOTE FROM THE COACH – TO ALL CURRENT & PROSPECTIVE AWCC MEMBERS

We hope you have enjoyed your winter break and are looking forward to the summer and cricket season which is fast approaching!

Both the Senior and Junior Committees have been working tirelessly during the off season to ensure that the Ashburton Willows enjoy more success both on and off the field than ever before.

In recent seasons, we have been privileged to win the Dunstan Shield Premiership (Premier Turf Grade) as well as 2 Limited Overs Premierships last season.

Furthermore, we have played off in 2 Twenty20 grand finals, with the incredible experience of representing AWCC on the hallowed MCG.

With 5 Senior Sides (3 Turf teams, 2 One Day Synthetic teams) we enthusiastically welcome players of any standard.

AWCC offers all of our players a vibrant and welcoming social environment, quality 2day, 1day & Twenty20 cricket opportunities, strong off field stability and support and with recent developments at both Ashburton Park & current renovations at Ferndale Park, the most premium sporting and entertainment facilities in the local area!

The engagement and involvement of senior personnel within the club further strengthens our on field successes, and with a dedicated coaching and leadership structure already in place, Pre-season training is sure to be extremely organized and effective for all attendees - and we hope that includes you!

So, whether you’re a budding young star, or at that age where we worry about muscle strains and aching joints, we'd love to see you down at Xavier College on 28th July for the start of another great year at AWCC.
