A huge weekend of finals cricket awaits with both AWCC One Day sides storming home to host Home Semi Finals on Saturday.

The 4s will take on Heathmont at Ferndale Park whilst the 5s will be up against AYC for the second week in a row, this time at Howard Dawson Reserve.

Drinks and a BBQ will be held at Ferndale on Saturday afternoon/evening, so there is no excuse to not get along and support the boys.

But before we all slap on the sunscreen, grab the stubby holder and head down to watch the action, lets have a cheeky peek at just who might be the players to watch this weekend!

Brendan 'The Chief' Foley - As a former chairman of selectors, this skipper knows all the tricks of the trade when it comes to selecting a side. A once outspoken champion for equality and unbiased team selection, BF has this year kept a very low profile on Thursday nights as he stealthly lists his team of untouchables. One thing we know, win, lose or draw, the BFAWCCMRTMH (Brendan Foley Ashburton Willows Cricket Club Match Results Text Message Hotline) will be in full swing at 3:21pm and 6:01pm on Saturday!

Brett 'BK' Kallio - an allrounder in ever sense of the word, BK will go in search for an elusive ton or 5 fa for one simple reason - get Swifty & Marshall off his back!

Peter Warner - he's got more runs this year than Leithy had in hobart last year after a couple of sessions with the Tandoori. Watch for Warner to bat all day, without a hat and not even get sunburnt.

Erik Tolhurst - has vowed to prepare for the finals like he would any other game - so, if anyone wants a beer on Friday night, Tolie will be at the Royal till close.

Sam O'Bryan - they are calling him the next Chris Richards - take that as you will!

Phil 'Fabulous' Yeo - like pizza the morning after, just warm it up for a few minutes and your surprised by how good it still tastes. Well, I cant say I've tasted Phil, but he sure does get the job done week in, week out! A skipper in the Dougy Walters mould, Phil's brigade of battlers will see the 5s hot form continue into the GF!

Richard 'The Fridge' Hummerston - He's known as the Fridge, not because he's built like one, but because he spends a lot of time opening it to collect beer and food, but the crowd on Saturday will be hoping that all big Rich is collecting is boundaries! A player of the future, watch for The Hummer to turn it on when the big crowds are cheering.

Chris 'The Goose' Gosling - Whether he be behinds the stumps, or cruising the boundary line with a chosen fillie from his Herem (Goose is all about the laaaadies), Chris is a man who stays calm in the big moments. Big runs and big catches are whats helping Goose and the 5s win the big matches!
